WELCOME parents and students to Town & Country Cotillion's 2025-2026 dance season!

All 6th and 7th grade first cotillion classes are FORMAL attire- Please refer to your schedule or our website for your child's start date /time.

Ladies - Dresses/skirts or dress pants and blouses and white gloves (* regarding shoes-please make sure your daughter can dance in her shoe choice-we suggest low heals or flats and shoes must have backs.) For our formal nights: white gloves -for those that may need white gloves, we will have them available for sale($10) in the lobby before cotillion starts.)

Gentlemen - dress pants or khakis, coat and tie or suit, and dress shoes for dancing (no athletic shoes )

Students CELL PHONES/smart watches must be OFF(not just silenced) and OUT OF SIGHT before they enter the building and during the duration of the class. We will have a storage area in the foyer for devices. (Exception for medical use)

On all cotillion nights our security officer will be out front to help direct carpool drop-offs and pick up. In order to keep the traffic moving, please follow the traffic pattern and do not park in the carpool line or in front of the building. You are welcome to drop off your child, then proceed to street parking if you plan to stay. Your child should arrive no more than 10 minutes before their scheduled cotillion. Please be prompt for pick up as other groups have classes before or after the class. The first night is particularly congested.

Once your child checks-in with our Dance Assistants in the ballroom, they will remain there for the entire program. We want to assure you that our program is well supervised by adult and high school helpers on the floor. If you plan to stay and observe, you are welcome to find a seat in the balcony before we start. We ask that you be mindful of talking while instruction is taking place.

We look forward to working with our students on their social skills and etiquette. The students are expected to treat each other and the adults with kindness and respect at all times while in our program. They will be reminded of this expectation. Please speak with your child before the first cotillion about expected behavior for our program.

Please make every effort to have your child attend all of their scheduled dances. Attendance is very important to our ratio of boys to girls for dancing. That being said, when groups are uneven on any given night, we will keep everyone moving and learning either with a partner or in our teaching lines. Please email us if your child will miss their scheduled class.

Please know that 2025-2026 season information is provided on our website and your emailed schedule. We will send group emails through Constant Contact occasionally with reminders.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child, and for the support of our program. Please reach out to us via email with any questions.
